While this appears to be a good idea, the customer reviews that have come in so far are not all positive. One of the complaints is that it is too large to perform its primary function, which is to drive nails into tight spots. The palm nailer is a tool that is operated using a pneumatic air connection and this particular model should not be used to compressed air that exceeds 120 psi. it should be used nailing into materials that are sufficiently solid enough that the nail won’t be driven straight through where it can become a projectile.

Just as with the larger palm nailers the PN50 Mini Impact Nailer is able to drive all usual bulk framing and timber nails in with ease. The weight is very light though at only 1 pound, the grip is made of rubber to insulate the hand and to keep vibration to a minimum. The grip fits nicely in the hand and even though there is an effort to reduce vibration it is recommended that a glove be worn when using it for added protection.

This is a tool that makes use of compressed air from a compressor. The range required is 80 to 100 psi.

Despite the size of the tool it is certainly effective for the job it is required to do. It does not require a lot of pressure to guide the nail down into the wood and when it is finished you will find that the nail has finished flush.

One of the big pluses noted with this particular palm nailer is the fact that the it uses a swivel connector for the hose. This ensures that the nailer is comfortable to use on all levels.

It’s size means that it will drive all sizes of joisting nails that you will need to drive and will get into the tight positions that other nailers are required for. This palm nailer has been designed to be operated at 70-100 psi using compressed air and should never be operated above the maximum 120 psi. Cautionary Notes About the Grizzly H6141 Air Palm Nailer

• The magnetic nail holder is mounted on the side of the nose rather than on the hammer header which is where it is for other nailers making it difficult to align the nails properly.
• Some people may not like the fact that the nails are countersunk rather than nailed flush.
• There is a gap between the driving piston and the opening in the outer sleeve which means that if you don’t have it centred perfectly the nail will get wedged between the piston and the sleeve wall.

The Senco PC1195 Mini Palm Nailer is billed as a lightweight palm nailer. In fact, the nailer is 50 per cent lighter than the average palm nailer and at only 1.1lbs, that’s a conservative estimate. The nose of the nailer is magnetic so that the nails are held in place before they are driven allowing you to work with one hand in case you need to hold onto a ladder or other support while reaching the place to perform the nailing.

Although it is light in weight it is still capable of driving in nails from 2 to 3 ½ inches in length. Used for nailing in tight situations when fixing joist hangers, roofing or with fencing or decking situations. With the smaller of the palm nailers you might expect to feel a lot of vibration during operation but there is very little noticeable vibration with this model for its size.

Remember, the mini palm nailer is not the tool to use when there is a lot of nailing to be done. As a small nailer it is going to require quite a few hammer strikes to complete each nail and so it would simply not be worth the time or effort exerted to use the Senco PC1195 in place of a full sized palm nailer. This is a tool for particularly tight nail positions.

This is a nailer that fills the gap between high workload nailing and small jobs that only requires the occasional nail to be driven. At a maximum 120psi the power is certainly there and nails are still driven quite quickly. When framing and roofing this little tool will come into its own. Also, for the home handyman or someone who doesn’t want the more overwhelming power of a full sized nailer, this little tool will be very handy.

Ther have been some mixed reactions to the Senco PC0781 palm nailer with a few professionals who have used Senco nailers in the past a little disappointed with the quality of the nailing produced by this tool.

The Senco PC0781 is capable of driving 8d – 16d nails although there have been reports that the 12d and 16d casing nails have a tendency for getting jammed in the nailer.
