Stanley Bostitch PN50 Mini Impact Nailer
Posted in Product Guide, Stanley Bostitch on May 20th, 2010 by Adm – Comments OffAs a general rule the purpose of the palm nailer is to deliver nails to spots where other tools cannot reach. By necessity they are small tools that perform a specific job and they do it quite effectively. Sometimes though even these small tools are not small enough and there is a need to go one step smaller. This is where the Bostitch Mini Impact Nailer PN50 comes in.

- 360° swivel air fitting for maximum accessibility
- Front exhaust directs air away from users palm

Just as with the larger palm nailers the PN50 Mini Impact Nailer is able to drive all usual bulk framing and timber nails in with ease. The weight is very light though at only 1 pound, the grip is made of rubber to insulate the hand and to keep vibration to a minimum. The grip fits nicely in the hand and even though there is an effort to reduce vibration it is recommended that a glove be worn when using it for added protection.
This is a tool that makes use of compressed air from a compressor. The range required is 80 to 100 psi.
Despite the size of the tool it is certainly effective for the job it is required to do. It does not require a lot of pressure to guide the nail down into the wood and when it is finished you will find that the nail has finished flush.
One of the big pluses noted with this particular palm nailer is the fact that the it uses a swivel connector for the hose. This ensures that the nailer is comfortable to use on all levels.
